Happy Hippos and Other Oval Shapes
In Nigeria there are some pygmy hippos but they are very rare. Hippos are nocturnal. This means they sleep during the day and are awake at night. Why do you think they do this?
“William” the hippo was made 4,000 years ago in Egypt. He is now in the metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, USA.
There used to be lions all over Nigeria. Now there are less than 100 of them left as their habitat is under threat.
