Animals have evolved over millions of years. They protect themselves in different ways.
Camouflage helps them hide from predators.
This leafy sea dragon, the orange spotted fly fish and this chameleon have adapted to blend into their environment.
Let’s create some of our own crazy creatures.
You will need :
Cardboard
Scissors
Sticks
Paints if you have some
1. If you have paint, paint patterns on your cardboard. Think about spots on a leopard, stripes on zebras, scales of a fish. You can also draw these patterns on.
2. Cut out shapes from the cardboard.
3. Cut slots in the sides of the shapes so the shapes can slot together.
4. Make eyes and ears, tails and horns and use sticks to add them on to make your animal really strange !
Now that you have made your crazy creature, what name will you give it?
